Production Worker
Perdue Furniture is an American hand made manufacturer for the retail and hospitality industries. Through continuous innovation, optimization of supply chain collaboration, and the production of quality economical products, Perdue has become a trusted supplier of furniture to hundreds of retailers and hoteliers across the country. We are looking for some new team members to join our growing business and offer year-round full-time work. We offer a best in class benefits program, a competitive starting wage, a performance increase after 90 days and a performance based annual review process. We also have no pre-employment screening and successful applicant can start right away. Our shifts are 6am to 230pm to ensure we offer a healthy work life balance. This is a labor-intensive job that requires applicants to be able to stand for 8 hours per day, bend, twist, and lift. Applicants should be able to lift as little as 5 lbs. and as much as a team lift of 150 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Following health and safety standards
- Prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts
- Assemble wooden furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles
- Reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with dowels or other supports
- Install hardware on furniture and fixtures
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor
- Following production guidelines and specifications
- Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment
- Working on the production line and meeting production targets
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty
- Performing other tasks as assigned
